The question that I want to explore is why are our youth becoming lazy? I feel as if this is an important question because it's having an impact on the lives of many young children. I believe there are many contributing factors that play into this problem. Could it be that parents are becoming more lazy or more involved with work? Which would leave less family time. Is our technology based lives to blame? Maybe unhealthy eating habits plays a part. Or could it simply be that we are raising a lazy generation? No matter what the case my be we have a problem on our hands. Children seem to be less active these days. I hope to find answers to many of my questions by looking into studies that have been done. I'm really hoping as well that schools have done studies themselves. It seems as more budget cuts happen within school districts, physical education time is drastically affected. This could also be a cause of our youth being less active. Some kids only get introduced to sports through school. So what happens when that is eliminated? It has an overall affect on the children of today.

  1. 1. What did you find interesting about the post? I found this whole topic and post very interesting. I am glad you are addressing this because this is becoming a huge problem. If gym and PE programs get cut then that is taking away children's daily exercise which is super important.
    2. What would you add to this post? or What questions does the post generate for you about the topic? The questions this post generates for me about the topic are PE programs in schools getting cut? Why do you think children are not getting the right amount of physical activity? Do you think technology is part of the problem? How can this topic be fixed?
    3. What do you agree with or disagree with and why? I completely agree with you. I think that this is a big problem and that the youth needs the right amount of fitness. Maybe parents and children need to see how important exercise is for a child's life and how many benefits it could have.I am looking forward to hearing more about this topic.

  2. You raise some great questions. I especially like the one about parents becoming lazy. I thing it is a valid questions and one I agree with. One question though, is there a specific age you will be focusing on or just children as a whole. I find it interesting that you say "some kids only get introduced to sports through school". When I was little I was introduced to sports because it was what my parents were introduced to in school. I look forward to following your blog.
